Opening Day of the State Legislature
Wednesday, January 16, 2019

* * IMPORTANT: SCHOOL STARTS AT 8:00 a.m.* * *
All Hālau Kū Māna students will attend the Opening-Day Session of the State Legislature at the Hawaii State Capitol on Wednesday, January 16, 2019.
LUNCH: All students must provide their own home lunch.
UNIFORMS: Students must wear their appropriate project polo shirt uniform and black bottoms. Students should also have covered footwear.
Please complete our Google Form OR return the bottom portion of the hard copy to the office by TUESDAY, JANUARY 15, 2019.

The Warrior Printing HKM Web Store is open for HKM uniform orders through Monday, January 31st, 2019.
The policy on school uniforms and colors is covered in the ‘Ohana Handbook.  For reference, here are the colors for each kula:

Elementary – Green Polo
Middle School – Yellow Polo
High School Red Polo
Orders will be available for pick up at the HKM office by Friday, February 15th, 2019, or you will have the option to have your order shipped to your home address (details on Warrior website).

Halau’een Parking Volunteers Needed

Halau’een Parking Volunteers Needed

Aloha! Halau’een is Friday, October 26. It should be as amazing as it always is.

All we need this year are makua volunteers to man the Upper and Lower Parking lots. These are one-hour shifts. We need four volunteers per hour or a total of twenty volunteers. You can sign up for more than one spot, but we would prefer for everyone to have an opportunity to both help and enjoy and be able to fill all the spots with unique volunteers.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Aloha e nā mākua,

Parent-teacher conferences will be held from Wednesday, October 24 – Friday, October 26.

There will be NO school for students during these days, however we encourage you to bring your child to the conference, if possible.

The format for Parent-Teacher conference is as follows:
Haumana’s Quarter 1 Report Card provided to parent
30 minute conference with project kumu;
30 minute kumu “office hours” where parents may conference with the haumana’s remaining kumu in their respective classrooms.
